Abstract
In ISM band and Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure -5 (UNII-5) bands plays an important part in the wireless technology particularly in Internet of Things (IoT) based application. In this article, a novel Meander-line scoop antenna is developed by the comparative analysis of three stage design configuration. The design process includes bud stage Meander-line, without scoop and with scoop Meander-line configuration. A periodic analysis was done for each and every stage to achieve the desired bandwidth to operate in the ISM band of frequency. The different Meander-line antennas are simulated and the behaviors of each and every antenna are compared with respect to the return loss and directivity. The dual band with optimized directivity is obtained for the proposed scoop antenna at the resonant frequency of 2.5GHz and 6.21GHz.
