    Abstract

    Martha Eddy and Sandra Golding invited workshop participants to explore the somatic nature of Sandra's Egyptian & Ghanian derived dance explorations. The two ran a workshop as part of the Dance and Somatics 2019 Conference that was also linked with the EU CultureMoves July 4th LabDay in Coventry, UK. Martha Eddy, RSMT, CMA, DEP, EdD in Movement Science, is an author researcher, performer and Ferraro Fellow for Social Justice and Dance at Marymount Manhattan College where she coordinates the Body, Science and Motion major. Sandra Golding MA, RMST is UK's leading African Holistic Dance Practitioner, former principal dancer/teacher of Kokoma Dance Theatre Company.
