Abstract

Brazil, like many emerging economies such as South Korea, Turkey, Mexico and China, is involved in South- South cooperation. Brazil is distinct from these countries in that natural resources are an important part of its total exports and its exports to Africa are more diverse. Brazil now has 37 embassies in Africa, and although many are just symbolic, this represents a doubling in recent year
