Abstract

There is an app for that. As commonplace as this slogan might be today, it could become the standard response to a person when looking to report a crime in England and Wales in time to come. This is because the familiar, blue uniformed role and police station symbols are receding. They are giving way to more diverse private actor involvement, accessed by more diverse reporting means. Collectively labelling such changes plural policing, the focus of this compact volume is to provide understanding about how rapidly and how extensively such changes might occur and what they mean.
