Apodised fibre Bragg grating arrays for quasi-distributed strain sensing

Apodised fibre grating arrays are fabricated in order to implement a quasi-distributed strain sensor. Design limitations of such a system are discussed including channel crosstalk, grating bandwidth, and sensor resolution for different apodisation profiles.
