Abstract
An experimental study of thin-walled rectangular hollow-section for steel lattice girder was conducted on overlapped K joints and full scale, with the same sections and different geometry. A numerical 3D investigation for validation was combined, which made it possible to draw up a comparative assessment of the behavior. It appears that the angle of the diagonal with the chord and the beam dump mechanism are at the origin of the divergence between the values of the arrow which are higher than those obtained by the numerical analysis. This mode of ruin remains the most frequent observed on the assemblies of the thin-walled chords.
