Abstract
This research project is to construct aggregate and disaggregate measures of financial repression and financial liberalisation at aggregate and disaggregate levels in China. A set of indexes will be produced to show degrees and levels of the two financial policies and help in monitoring the pace of liberation and evaluating the impact of the policies on various aspects of the economy.
