Abstract

The aim of this report is to provide scientifically based facts, arguments and ideas for what is needed to meet some of the most important challenges in the world today. The future of humanity depends on how food is - and will be - produced and provided. The report considers the following questions: What kind of food production can - drastically reduce poverty - reduce climate change and cool the planet - restore biodiversity, soil fertility and water resources - improve livelihoods and provide employment for billions of people - produce enough, good, and nutritious food for 9 billion people or more...?
