    Abstract

The study reports an application of ultrasound on the isolation of effective compositions from some traditional Chinese medicines. Helicid, Berberine Hydrochloride and Bergenin can be isolated respectively from three plants with alcohol at room temperature by using suitable frequency ultrasonic irradiation for reasonable time instead of refux, with higher extracted efficiency, fewer impurities and simpler technology.
