Abstract

Resumo – A Internet facilita o acesso à informação.

Summary - The Internet facilitates access to information. But the amount of information available also poses serious problems regarding the selection of the desired content. Thus, new forms of research must necessarily exist. In this text we intend to make some reflections related to web search, particularly focusing on the Google search engine, exploring some of the potentialities and alerting to dangers of uncritical use of this search engine and other web search engines. Finally, we propose some procedures directed to those who produce the information, in order to facilitate their research.
