Abstract

This report analyses developments under international law processes concerning Indigenous peoples and the environment that occurred in the past year. It will address the following themes: Indigenous peoples’ rights to life and land and the protection of the environment, including climate change action and the general observation adopted by the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations on the 1989 Convention no. 169 on Indigenous and Tribal Peoples.
