تَعْتَبِر هذه الورقة الشعر الشعبي المغنّى المرتجل شكلاً من أشكال الصمود والمقاومة الثقافية المتجذرة في تراث الفلسطينيين الثقافي الشفوي. وعلى وجه الخصوص، تبحث الورقة في أدوار الزجالة أو الحداية أو الشعراء الشعبين كوكلاء للصمود الثقافي، والأغاني كأدوات، وحفلات الزفاف كمواقع لصمود ومقاومة الفلسطينيين في إسرائيل الذين عاشوا في ظل الحكم العسكري الإسرائيلي من سنة 1948 إلى 1966.
