Description
VIRTEU (Grant Agreement no: 878619) is a thirteen-month (April 2020 - April 2021) European Union’s high-profile legal research, which includes both comparative and multidisciplinary studies, funded by the European Union’s under the HERCULE III programme as managed by the European Commission’s Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF). It aims at exploring the interconnections between tax crimes and corruption so to unravel the intimate relationships that exist between fraudulent and corrupt practices in the area of taxation with a focus on VAT fraud, which poses a direct threat to the European Union's financial interests.
