Project Details
Description
Kew Gardens commission for The Fabularium, Directed by Glenn Noble. An interactive performance event for the daytime programme of Kew at Christmas. Performed within Kew's Arboretum and focussing upon the wildlife within the gardens, their natural habitats and their wider journeys into urban areas and suburbs that fringe the park.
Key findings
Evaluation of visitor numbers and feedback found the additional daytime offer to have increased footfall; and of particular note, the intimate, gentle nature of the Fabularium performance was viewed as being of particular success with neuro-diverse members of the public; a significant number of visitors approached the Trails and Tales event as a relaxed performance - a show adapted to suit people who might require a more relaxed environment, and who might otherwise have avoided the more lively 'Son et lumière' night-time offer.
