Description

This project took field recordings made at North Head Quaranteen Station in Sydney
and through innovative use of technology, facilitated their use by composers in Massachusetts.

Key findings

The project demonstrated the impact of using emerging technology to take sound content from one locale to another to be used as part of creative artefact development. It enabled the development of technical expertise, novel creative approaches and a raised awareness of the culture and geography of a different continent.
