Project Details

Description

For this IOC project, I use existing data on online engagement on the IOC courses/FutureLearn platform to identify digital spaces and features that support and inhibit interaction online. I propose guidelines for the development of IOC courses/FutureLearn spaces that create more opportunities for learning through socialisation. The project, entitled, “Opportunities and barriers for social and engaged learning in digital pedagogies: towards research informed guidelines”, aims to draw on the wide body of knowledge on social and engaged online learning in language education and transfer this to a more general education perspective, needed for the IOC.

This project was awarded £19,911.37 to fund the developement of research-informed guidelines for digital pedagogies.
