Project Details

Description

Im/mediations is a series of livestream performances and installations by choreographer Teoma Naccarato and composer John MacCallum. Each iteration of Im/mediations is a provocation on what it means to be together in VIRTUAL contexts. Several pieces in this body of work explore STILLNESS and SILENCE. If we cannot see or hear each other in a virtual site, are we still connected? If we meet online do NOTHING in particular, what remains between us? Starting from the premise that all of our interactions are always already mediated, with each performance we explore the choreography and composition of the so-called IMMEDIATE.
