Future Transport: Perceptions of Emerging Modes of Mobility

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The aim of this research was to understand attitudes towards new and emerging transport technologies. This built upon previous largely COVID-19 orientated work in order to assess broader issues around adoption intentions, concerns, and awareness of new technologies such as e-scooters.

Key findings

Findings suggested that there was some expectation that behaviours adopted in COVID-19 would continue post pandemic leading to opportunities for some technologies (e.g. remote work/healthcare). Some concerns expressed around the suitability of new technologies for specific groups.
