Project Details
Description
The proposed research evaluates cardiovascular risk profile of middle- and older-age people with history of COVID-19. Using state-of-the-art validated non-invasive cardiovascular technologies and novel home-based interventions, the project will provide new knowledge and improve understanding of the effect of COVID-19 on cardiovascular and metabolic function and their malleability with physical activity intervention. At the time of ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there is a huge public health and clinical need for studies to improve understanding of short-, medium- and long-term effects of COVID-19 on cardiovascular system and cardiovascular risk profile.
