    Description

    The project will focus on fruit and flower farms in South Africa, which were part of the Sustainability Initiative South Africa (SIZA) programme. SIZA supports farms in implementing worker and management training with the goal of enhancing compliance with ethical trade standards. The research examined how ethical compliance contributes to a positive working environment which in turn enhances business performance. This relationship remains a key area of theoretical study also.

    In collaboration with South African stakeholders this cross-disciplinary project considered how to: to advance understandings of how labour standards improvements are connected to improvements in business performance.
