Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is to positively change horticultural practice to prevent the spread of non-native and invasive plant species. The project will create a list of non-native invasive ornamental plant species and simultaneously will propose their "safe" alternatives that can replace them. These alternatives will be further cultivated and distributed at the expense of invasive species. The project is inspired by successful initiatives from Great Britain (Be plant wise) and Australia (Grow me instead) and aims to set up these approaches in Czech Republic. Part of the project is a campaign aimed at the professional and public increasing awareness of the topic.
