Project Details
Description
This project used design specifications for recording and mixing environments in New York, Nairobi and Auckland. As such, alongside scientific principles, acoustic designers needed to accommodate the relevant economic and cultural aspects of each locale in their solutions.
Key findings
The project showed that when a scientific-orientated project is based in a locale contrasting to that of the designer, they have the opportunity to develop skills related to the culture, economics and norms of that locale. In addition, they can develop remote collaboration and working capabilities.
