    My research interests include Climate Change, Risk Analysis and Management , Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster and Emergency Management and Wildfires Analysis.

    PhD Project

    As a PhD student, Zarmina ia working on South Asian wildfire in a changing climate and its implications for risk assessment and management in Pakistan. The focus of the project is to  identify and quantify spatiotemporal analysis of wildfires across South Africa with a focus on Pakistan. To reveal about past and future changes in meteorological conditions conducive to wildfire occurrence across the South Asia region using state-of-the-art climate models. Finally, explore the potential implications of forest restoration project such as Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Project(TBTTP) on future fire risk within Pakistan.
