    Personal profile

I hold a PhD from the Centre for Global Learning, Coventry University, and have read for two Masters qualifications, prior to pursuing doctoral studies. I have an interest in areas of inequality, social (in)justice and stratification in the South African context, particularly, in how gender intersects with issues of social class and geospatiality in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) related study and employment fields. Moreover, I was awarded the prestigeous Leverhulme Trust Study Abroad fellowship (SAS-2020-047) during my PhD tenure. This opportunity allowed me to organise a successful international conference on Decoloniality, Gender Equity and Diversity in South Africa, where I have presented a chapter from my thesis. Furthermore, I have collaborated on a succcessful bid with South African partner higher education institutions.
