    Biography

     

    Dr Yun Luo joined the CBiS as a research associate in January 2015. Her research interests include financial liberalisation, bank risk, regulations, competition, banking sector efficiency and productivity. Her recent studies analyse banking industry performance (efficiency and productivity) in response to organisational and environmental changes associated with financial liberalisation of markets. This research is empirical and inter-disciplinary, making use of economic, financial and accounting data, and seeks to inform the policy debate about the role of financial liberalisation, regulatory and macroeconomic policy.

     

    Yun Luo holds a bachelor's degree in Economics (Zhejiang University in Economics and Finance, China), an MSc in Finance (Coventry University, UK) and a PhD in Finance (Coventry University, UK).

    Vision Statement

    My current research focuses on financial liberalisation, bank risk, regulations, competition, banking sector efficiency and productivity. I have investigated banking sector performance under the influence of financial liberalisation and developed specialist research skills that will be useful for supporting with various quantitative methods for my further research particularly in finance and business.
