    Research Interests

While working towards my Master and PhD degrees, I carried out three research projects, which are “Investigation of the factors that affect the quality of life in Chinese patients with hypertension”, “Genotypic and phenotypic characterization of Brochothrix spp. isolated from meat, poultry and fish” and “Aspects of modelling variability of single cell lag time for Cronobacter spp. after exposure to sublethal heat treatment in normal and stressful environments”. The European Union-funded Project I was involved in mainly focus on studying and modelling the response of Listeria monocytogenes and E. coli to sublethal heat and acid stress in ready to eat food. I am also interested in studying the polymorphism of the antibiotic resistance bacteria and modelling the response of bacteria to antibiotic stress.
