Biography

 

Dr. Vahid Kouh Daragh joined Coventry University in November 2019 and is currently working as a Research Fellow and Lecturer in Institute for Future Transport and Cities and computing engineering department respectively. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Yazd University, Iran in 2004. He got his Master degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from University Technology of Malaysia in 2010. Then he came to Italy to pursue his research activities and after 2 years research at University of Tor Vergata working on GPS and Einstein relativity effect of atomic clock in satellites, he started his Ph.D in Telecommunication, Electronics and Information Technology engineering at university of Bologna, Italy in December 2012. He did a part of his Ph.D activities as a visiting researcher at Aalborg University in Denmark. He got his Ph.D in May 2017.  He then joined the signal processing group at University of Naples, Federico II, in Italy as a postdoctoral fellow in 2017. During this period, he won a grant from Iranian Elite Foundation and started to collaborate with Yazd University through University of Naples as a joint postdoctoral activity. His main activities in this period is to define Machine learning applications for UAVs based radio access networks and define UAVs based Base Stations models.

 

Dr. Kouh Daragh has published several scholarly articles, book chapters and book in the area of Heterogeneous network, Machine to Machine communications, and optoelectronics. He has had lecturing and mentoring activities in these periods. He has also served as editorial board for of the journal Computer System Networking and Telecommunications and reviewer of several leading publications including the IEEE, IET, and Transactions.

 

His research interests lie in the area of wireless communications, heterogeneous network, smart city, Machine Learning and Internet of Things. He is a member of IEEE as well.
