Biography

Tugra Erol is a research fellow  in Transport Design and Human Factors at the National Transport Design Centre at Coventry University  IFTC. He has experience in industrial design, transportation design,seat design and product comfort experience design and HF research with both the academia and the industry over 10 years. He holds degrees in engineering and industrial design with a focus on transportation and car design. His PhD specifically focused on the experince of automotive seat comfort where he  explored the relationships between visual design attributes and comfort experience. His current projects  include the effects of appearance on the perceived comfort, seat design for micro mobility  and  quantification of comfort metrics, simulation of altered driving conditions and effects on comfort and wellbeing. He also has experience in solar car design, human centered design methods; specifically focusing on automotive, bus and autonomous car seats.
