    Biography

    Syuzanna Sahakyan is a PhD candidate at Coventry University. Her research explores the relationship between higher education and democracy, and examines the role of the Council of Europe in defining the democratic mission of higher education and developing a democratic culture. 

    Syuzanna was previously a lecturer of English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) at Yerevan State Medical University. She has also worked as an assessment coordinator at the American University of Armenia. In this capacity, Syuzanna has developed and delivered professional development workshops related to teaching and learning for the academic staff of the university.
