Suresh is an Associate Professor in International Business. Suresh is a Fellow of the Higher Education Adademy (FHEA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society and Arts (FRSA) He has worked in Higher Education for 13 years, prior to which, he worked for over 11 years in the telecommunication industry in the Middle East and India.He has lived or worked in India, Kenya, Nigeria, Portugal, Oman and the UK and brings this global experience into his HE practice.

His research work primarily revolves around the following areas.

Strategic Management research that is evolving around the linkages around Global political positions, Non-Market resources and the Resource-based view of the State.

Practical Global Strategy that is driven by over 23 years of a Global experience including living across Africa, Middle East, Asia and Europe. My practice in this area also involves working with global firms and consultancy projects.

International Business Pedagogy based on experiential teaching, innovation in IB pedagogy, Open Educational Resources and Research-informed teaching.

Suresh has been involved in creating innovative experiential learning tools that have been used across the globe, designing successful postgraduate IB courses and Market entry consultancy projects for SMEs and medium to large firms.

He is also an occasional blogger on several topical issues, publisher of an online newspaper and his  twitter handle is @sureshgeorge

Suresh is also interested in the development of web-based learning solutions for education, and has consulted for several widely-used software solutions in strategic management and International Business pedagody. Some of the solutions include the Global Marketing management system online (GMMSO). In 2013, Suresh developed the GLOBESTRATEGY® system as an open education resource (OER) for international business.

He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Academy of International Business.


Suresh has been an active consultant around the world. His clients include non-profit enterprises, Higher education institutions, IT companies, International trading houses, and SMEs.

Suresh’s consulting activities have included the following areas:

  • Corporate strategy
  • Business modelling
  • New market entry strategies
  • Online teaching and learning solutions
  • Training programmes on digital literacy for International Business teachers
  • Faculty Development seminars
