Personal profile

Biography

I joined Coventry University as a Lecturer in Finance in January 2019. I hold a PhD in Finance from the University of Strathclyde. For my PhD I received a scholarship from the Economics and Social Research Council. I further hold an MSc in Banking and Finance and a BSc in Marketing. I am also a Research Associate in the Centre for Financial and Corporate Integrity and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

My research interests are in the area of corporate finance, financial markets, private equity and insider trading. My work has been published in leading international journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance and the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting. I act as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals and I actively engage in conferences in my field.

I have taught various Finance and Accounting courses and have supervised dissertations at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
