    Biography

    I am an Assistant Professor in Accounting and Finance in the Centre for Financial and Corporate Integrity (CFCI) of Coventry University. I hold a PhD in Finance from the University of Strathclyde. I also hold an MSc in Banking and Finance and a BSc(Hons) in Marketing. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have taught various Finance and Accounting courses at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Prior to joining Coventry University I have held roles in the University of Strathclyde and worked in the financial/banking sector.

     

    My research interests are in the area of corporate finance, financial markets, private equity, ESG, and insider trading. My work has been published in leading international journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance and the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, among others. My work also appears in media such as the CLS Blue Sky Blog of Columbia Law School and the FinReg Blog of Duke Financial Economics Center.

     

    My research has received funding from esteemed institutions such as the British Academy (BA), the  Committee for Departments of Accounting and Finance (CDAF), the Economics and Social Research Council (ESRC), and Research England. I actively engage in conferences in my field and act as a reviewer in peer-reviewed journals.
