Personal profile
PhD Project
I am currently studying towards a PhD Exploring the Ethical Dilemmas and Experiences of Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic Through Arts Based Practice.
This is a transdisciplinary project which aims to focus on the experiences of Female identifyin ITU nurses in the United Kingdom by asking the following question:
What do the stories of female ITU Nurse’s reveal about how they identify with their role and of the relationships within their role and whether this has been affected by their lived experience of the COVID-19 Pandemic?
A hermeneutical phenomenological thematic analysis of data using a postfeminist framework is planned. Narrative enquiry will also be applied to this research to include a reflexive interpretation of the planned studies from the perspective of the researcher and participants. The research aims to produce a playscript co-created with participants who have undertaken creative writing workshops to help to explore the experiences of ITU female nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic, also reflecting on it's impact on participant well being.
