    Biography

    Ricardo Martins is a Research Fellow with a research interest in the field of cognition and affective responses to exercise in childhood. As an early career researcher, his current projects are focused on understanding how different types of exercise might influence general executive function and brain responses, using neuroimaging techniques (i.e., fNIRS).

    Vision Statement

    I aim to provide an understanding of how different forms of exercise might impact cognition in children. It is my vision to use this knowledge to find innovative ways to improve physical activity opportunities in childhood that can lead to wider health benefits.
