Dr. Qingsong Wang is a Lecturer at the School of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics, Coventry University. He received the Bachelor degree from the College of Automotive Engineering, Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 2012, Master degree from the School of Automotive Studies, Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 2015, and Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2018.

Between July and September in 2017, he was a visiting research associate at WEMPEC, University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States. Before he joined Coventry University, from October 2018 to October 2019, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in University of British Columbia, Canada.

He is currently the author/co-author of more than 20 academic manuscripts, including 1 book chapter, 2 patent families, journals and leading conference publications. Qingsong is an invited reviewer for many journals and conferences, such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Magnets, IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, IEEE Vehicular Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC), IEEE International Electric Machines & Drives Conference (IEMDC), and IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo (ITEC). He is the track chair of Machines and Actuators in ITEC 2019, and Session Chair of Electrical Machines and Industrial Drives in the 28th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE 2019).

His research includes design and control of electrical machines, power electronics and wireless power transfer, with applications on electrified transportation and renewable energy systems.
