Research Associate at the Collaborative Research Centre ‘Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood: New Modes of Governance?’, focused research on ‘Transnational Security Governance: Organized Crime and Governance-Interventions in Mexico and Central America,’ with Professors Marianne Braig and Günther Maihold (funded by the German Research Foundation)

 

Collected and analyzed empirical data, including through field research in Mexico City and Washington, D.C. (expert interviews, document collection, and networking); contributed to joint publications; presented research at international conferences; managed project, which included guiding a Student Assistant, supporting budget administration and billing, managing external service contracts, hosting of international guests and organizing academic events such as workshops, conferences and colloquia
