Research Interests

My responsibility includes delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching modules in aerospace materials and advanced manufacturing. I also lead research projects in advanced materials and manufacturing technologies for aerospace,automotive and nuclear sectors.

I have more than fifteen years experience in managing research projects, leading project teams in high-tech materials and manufacturing industries, and contract research environments. Specialist in solid state joining and processing, surface engineering & coating technologies for space structures, development of project plans, implementation strategies and supply chain solutions. Expertise in project management and technology integration for strategic solution development. Working experience of radiation applications like X-rays, Synchrotrons and Neutrons for materials and process investigation in-situ, structural integrity of engineering structures and residual stress investigations, destructive as well as non-destructive tetsing, stress corrosion cracking and metallurgy of weldings. Provided technical consultancy to world leading aerospace agencies like European Space Agency (ESA), Russian Space Agency (ENERGIA) etc, blue chip companies and public sector organizations.
