    Biography

    Nathaniel is a registered social worker with Social Work England. Nathaniel has experience in children and families social work. Nathaniel has worked within child protection and safeguarding teams whilst qualifying as a social worker.

    As a qualified social worker, Nathaniel has worked within an assessment and duty team for a local authority and has worked for an independent fostering agency as a fostering social worker. Nathaniel also has a background in safeguarding and supporting children in care within education. 

    Nathaniel is the Deputy Course Director for the Social Work Apprenticeship Degree. Nathaniel teaches on the Social Work Apprenticeship Degree, including being the module leader for Qualified Practice: Social Work End-Point Assessment; Legal and Policy Frameworks for Practice; and, Work-Based Learning for Social Work.

    Research Interests

    Research interests include: child protection; the voice of the child; law and policy, including the ethical application of legal and policy frameworks; social work and education; and fostering.
