Personal profile


Nathaniel is a registered social worker with Social Work England. As a qualified social worker, Nathaniel has worked in various settings, including within assessment and duty, and in the fostering sector. Nathaniel also has a background in safeguarding and supporting children in care within education. 

Nathaniel is the Course Director for the Social Work Apprenticeship Degree. Nathaniel teaches on the Social Work courses, including being the module leader for 'Introduction to Social Work' on the BA programme and 'Extended Practice Case Study' on the Social Work Apprenticeship Degree.

Nathaniel has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education (PgCAPHE) and has Fellowship accreditation with Advance HE.

PhD Project

Nathaniel is completing a PhD exploring the narratives of men in child protection social work.
