Research Interests

My research interests include: leadership in all phases of education; emotion and leadership; professional learning, and educational policy.

Biography

Originally a primary deputy, I moved into HE after completing my PG degree. I have worked at several UK universities, including Warwick, Cambridge, UCL IOE, and the Open University. I was Director of the Plymouth Institute of Education from 2014-2018. As well as the day job, I have been involved in school governance since the 1990s and have set up new schools, as well as currently being the Chair of a Multi Academy Trust.
