    Biography

    Mark Axon is a registered Social Worker in England and a Lecturer at Coventry University contributing to teaching a variety of modules and course programmes. He is currently the Deputy Course Director and Year 1 Lead for the BA Social Work programme, and was previously Admissions Tutor.  

    Mark's practice experience is centred in working with children, young people and their families as a social worker in statutory social work from first contact through to court proceedings.  Mark also has experience of supporting students on placement.

    Mark was also a Consultant Social Work for the West Midlands Social Work Teaching Partnership. This involved co-ordinating Practice Education and CPD activity with social work employers and HEI course providers across the region. 

    Mark has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education (PGCAPHE) and has a Fellowship with Advance HE.
