    Mahmoud Moradi received his BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. Degrees in Manufacturing Engineering in 2006, 2008, and 2013, respectively. He has been active in laser materials processing for 16 years. For his doctoral research, he investigated laser arc hybrid welding technology. He has passed the research and training period as a visiting researcher at the Lulea University of Technology in Sweden (2012 & 2017) in the area of laser materials processing and additive manufacturing. His main scientific contributions have been Laser Materials Processing (Laser joining, laser surface hardening, laser drilling, laser cutting, laser coating, laser forming, and laser additive manufacturing), Non-Traditional Machining, Welding Technology, Design of experiments (DOE), Additive Manufacturing and 3D/4D printings. He has published more than 130 papers in international and national journals and conferences and 6 book chapters in the areas of his interests. He was featured in the list of “World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists in the World” in the 2020 & 2021 database based on Stanford University report (Published: 8 October 2020 & 19 October 2021, respectively).
