    Biography

Luca Sabia is an Assistant Professor in Marketing and Digital Marketing and Director of Postgraduate Marketing Programmes at Coventry University. A brand storytelling expert in highly regulated sectors, including financial services and healthcare, he has helped organisations maximise their marketing efforts through executive-level strategic communications, spanning CEO positioning, corporate, financial and crisis comms.

A Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, he serves as Trustee for Marketing and Communications at Leukaemia Care and as Executive Advisor on strategic communications and digital to medical organisations.

He is a mentor for the Social Mobility Foundation and Durham University, and contributes to public debate by writing on the social implications of digital innovation.

Alongside his professional career, he holds a first-class degree in Communication Sciences, completed two full-time MBAs, and earned a PhD in Entrepreneurship.

    Research Interests

Dr Sabia's research is organised around a central question: how is the digital environment reshaping participation, and with what consequences? In particular, his work examines how people make decisions to engage in contexts characterised by digital mediation, information asymmetry, and algorithmic pressure. He is interested in the psychological and social dynamics of participation decisions, in how digital marketing and platform design influence those decisions, and in the structural consequences for inclusion and exclusion.
