Research Interests
Dr Sabia's research is organised around a central question: how is the digital environment reshaping participation, and with what consequences? In particular, his work examines how people make decisions to engage in contexts characterised by digital mediation, information asymmetry, and algorithmic pressure. He is interested in the psychological and social dynamics of participation decisions, in how digital marketing and platform design influence those decisions, and in the structural consequences for inclusion and exclusion.
