Biography

Dr Liliane Mouan is a Lecturer in Emerging Markets at Coventry Business School. She was previously based at the Transnational Law Institute, King's College London, where she has played an instrumental role in the development of key projects such as the King’s Transnational Law Summit and leads on the development of the Global Supply Chain Law and Governance Research Network. Her current research focuses on the impacts of special economic zones on structural transformation and inclusive growth in emerging and developing nations; corruption and illicit financial flows; the politics of transparency in transnational regulatory governance; and corporate accountability in global supply chains. She has provided consultancy and training in these areas for various organisations. These include Transparencia Mexicana, the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and Amnesty International Southern Africa Regional Office. At Coventry University, Dr Mouan currently teaches The Economics of International Business (1003SSL) and Legal Aspects of Responsible Leadership (102SAM).

Research Interests

Corruption and illicit financial flows; structural economic transformation and inclusive growth; the transnational politics of transparency (particularly in labour, tax and natural resource governance); business and human rights; China's role and influence in Africa and South Asia.

Dr Mouan welcomes PhD proposals in these and other related areas.
