Personal profile

Biography

A passionate and committed teacher of international political economy, I joined the School of Strategy and Leadership (SSL) at Coventry University as Lecturer in Emerging Markets in December 2016. Since joining the institution, I have delivered teaching on a range of subjects such as globalization and supervised postgraduate dissertation projects. I have played an active role in development of SSL cirricululm through design of two modules on The Economics of International Business and International Trade Management. I have also contributed to the management of SSL through the position of Associate Course Director for BA International Business Management degreeOur current task is to navigate the course through review to turn the degree from a BA programme to BSC.

My research agenda follows two strands. The first is on United Kingdom political economy, particulary change and continuity in public policy. Alongside the delivery of several conference presentation on the subject, a co-authored paper on the impact of Brexit and climate change policy has been recently accepted for publication. I am currently working on a co-authored paper delineating the historical antecedents of the industrial strategy of the current Conservative government of Theresa May. Other research is on emerging markets. Current projects include those on sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa and economic growth in Peru in the twenty-first century.
