I am a lecturer in Finance and had previously served as a research and development consultant at industry level. My research interests include finance academia and socio-economic development in Africa. In the former, my interests are: financial contagion, financial market analysis and behavioural finance. In the latter, they include: education, women empowerment and poverty alleviation. Coming from North East Nigeria, I stay in touch with happenings at home, this has shaped my research interest on socio-economic development.
I am a Fellow of Higher Education Academy, UK and Associate Member (ACSI) of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI). I am also an advocate of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and a signatory of the SDG Accord.
