    Research Interests

    Dr Hugh Williams is a lecturer-in-law at Coventry Law School. Hugh specialises in international law, particularly, international humanitarian law, international human rights law, international criminal law and transitional justice, and criminal law. 

    Hugh gained a degree in modern history before studying to become a practising lawyer, and then practised both as a solicitor and as a barrister before he became a lecturer. Hugh gained his Masters in public international law and his doctorate in international law.

    Hugh's current research interests include the conduct of war and transitions to peace.
