Biography

Currently pursuing a PhD Studentship at C-DaRE, Hiten is considered one of the UK’s leading South Asian Dancers of this current generation. Hiten holds a Master’s in Performance Practices from De Montfort University in Leicester which focused on his contemporary dance practice rooted in classical Bharata Natyam roots. 

An enthusiastic Dance Teacher and Movement Facilitator in and around Leicester in Education, Wellbeing/Health and Community Dance settings with vast experience of instructing students in strong core movement technique and form, body conditioning and history of the dance.

Hiten is a Vibrant and Creative Choreographer who is always inquisitive to push the boundaries of the Bharata Natyam Dance form, maintaining its authenticity whilst exploring and exhibiting its versatility. 

Hiten has studied dance from leading exponents and masters in the field of Bharata Natyam Dance. Having the good fortune to be able to have had the experience of imbibing the best from each teacher that has moulded him into an wholesome dance artist he is today.
