Biography
I currently split my time working as an Associate Lecturer in Physiotherapy, at Coventry University, and a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist / Team Lead in MSK Outpatients, at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust.
My clinical background has predominantly seen me working within a musculoskeletal field, gaining experience in the NHS, private sector, and in elite sport.
This experience has allowed me to develop clinical skills and particular interests in personalised care for managing patients with complex, disabling pain and using psychologically-informed physiotherapy interventions.
I am currently co-leading a population health management project whereby we are training physiotherapists to deliver a personalised physiotherapy intervention to people living with persistent low back pain and multi-morbidity in areas of deprivation. We have embedded research within this project to evaluate the cost and clinical effectiveness of delivering this intervention to this population.
I joined the academic team at Coventry University in 2021 to follow my passion of facilitating and contributing to student learning.
