I am currently a Lecturer in International Business at School of Strategy and Leadership, Coventry Business School and Course Director of MBA Online progarmme.
I completed my PhD study into Organisational Agility and HRM as a bursary student at Birmingham City Business School, following my MBA and several years experience of supporting various organisations as a business consultant/manager. My focal area of research is the subject of Strategic Agility, Organisational Agility and Human Resource Agility. As part of my PhD study, I explored the role of human resource management in achieving organisational agility.
Adopting a strategic orientation, organisational agility is aimed at developing organisational dynamic capabilities for maintaining strategic supremacy and competitiveness in response to the continuously morphing business environment the organisation faces. From this perspective, I explored the human aspects that play a key role in enabling organisational agility with the aims of: identifying the HRM critical roles in developing organisational agility; and developing a theoretical model for crafting and implementing a HR strategy which assists organisations in acquiring agile attributes.
My research has involved exploratory qualitative data collection from various public and private organisations in the UK including local councils, large manufacturing and service companies.
