Personal profile

I am an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Business and Management at Coventry University since September 2015. I hold a PhD in Innovation Management and Science and Technology Policy from SPRU – Science Policy Research Unit at the University of Sussex. My research is focused on the fields of innovation studies and entrepreneurship. I teach research methods and innovation management for MSc programmes at Coventry University.

Before joining Coventry University, I worked as a research fellow at UCL – University College London. I took part in two large scale EU FP7 Framework projects. These projects mainly focused on knowledge-based entrepreneurship and innovation concepts in the EU as well as the growth, innovativeness and cohesion of Central and Eastern Europe to the wider EU.

My research focuses on technology and innovation management, entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial orientation, strategy and economic growth in diverse sectors such as advanced materials, machine tools, computer and software and low carbon activities and energy related issues in manufacturing industries of automotive and advanced materials.

I also have extensive interest in developing and using new methodologies to conduct my research. I have strong quantitative analyses skills as a professional user of STATA, SPSS, and PLS—PM software (structural equation modelling) as well as particular experience in survey design and implementation to collect qualitative data to conduct specifically multiple case study analyses.

I successfully contributed in two large scale EU FP7 projects:

  • EU FP7 large scale project GRINCOH – Growth-Innovation-Competitiveness: Fostering Cohesion in Central and Eastern Europe. Project No: 290657, March 2013 – March 2015.
  • EU FP7 large scale project AEGIS - Advancing Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Economic Growth and Social Well-being in Europe. Project No: 225134, December 2009 - March 2013.
