I am an HCPC Registered and BPS Chartered Forensic Psychologist with extensive practitioner experience in forensic settings. I have conducted a range of psychological risk assessments and psychometrics’ with a diverse group of service users including young offenders, adult males, deaf clients and those with mental health issues and/or intellectual/learning disabilities. I am used to weighing up complex individualised cased and making risk recommendations on the future management of such cases. I have acted as an expert witness in oral hearings on behalf of Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service. I am currently the module leader for the Risk Assessment & Offenders module and Professional Practice module on the MSc in Forensic Psycholog, as well as the module leader on the undergraduate psychology work experience module.
I have a research interest in professional supervision and treatment approaches to reduce offending behaviour and behaviours that increase risk. I have conducted research which has consider the role of motivation on Offending Behaviour Programmes (OBP), anti libidinal medication and sexual preocupation and research at open prison conditions.
